Melic has knitted rope as its protagonist, giving the play its name. On stage, Shalom and Mar intertwine bodies and materials in a dialog of shapes and textures: the ropes transform, tighten, loosen, cradle and support.
More than talking about the material, the creation evokes the historical memory of post-war women who knitted in the streets, weaving not only clothes, but also relationships. It is a tribute to the knowledge of grandmothers and the ancient art of knitting.
