The Dramaturgical Writing Laboratory for Circus aims to support circus artists in their creative processes by providing a space for dramaturgical reflection and experimentation. The methodology is based on peer exchange, bringing together artists from Toulouse and Portugal under the guidance of a mentor.
The laboratory seeks to develop and deepen the dramaturgical writing of participants’ individual projects, experiment with the dramaturgical analysis of other creative processes, foster artistic dialogue between Portuguese and French creators, promote artistic autonomy through the structuring of dramaturgical and narrative work, and explore circus structures and events in Portugal, with a special focus on Teatro da Didascália and its residency space, fAUNA – Habitat de Criação.
