The Trengo festival (Porto) and Vaudeville Rendez-Vous (Barcelos, Braga, Famalicão, Guimarães and Viana do Castelo) are once again joining forces to launch the second edition of the Support Programme for Contemporary Circus Creation.
The programme aims to:
– Foster artistic creation in the field of contemporary circus;
– Support projects through financial, technical, dramaturgical, logistical and communication resources;
– Strengthen collaboration between organisations and promote the circulation of projects across Portugal.
This open call is addressed to artists, either individually or collectively, working in the field of contemporary circus and active in Portugal. We are looking for a project in the early stages of creation, with an experimental or transdisciplinary approach, ready for public presentation in an outdoor space in summer 2027.
The selected project will receive:
– Financial support of €10,000.00;
– Artist residencies with technical and dramaturgical support;
– Logistical and communication support;
– Four public presentations in 2027: two at the Trengo Festival (Porto) and two at the Vaudeville Rendez-Vous Festival (Northern Coastal Portugal).
